What is a forex rebate?

A rebate (cashback) is a cost-reduction method: you link your trading account to a broker through a rebate provider's introducing-broker (IB) relationship, and the broker returns part of the commission it earns from the spread or fees to you.

Where the rebate comes from

A broker earns from the spread (the difference between bid and ask) and commissions. When you open an account through an IB, the broker pays part of that revenue to the IB as commission; the rebate provider then returns part of it to you.

Does a rebate change my spread?

No. A rebate is settled outside the trade and does not change the spread or execution price you see.

Who it suits

  • Active traders with a larger monthly volume, where rebates add up.
  • Traders who have already chosen a broker and want to lower long-term cost under the same conditions.

The rate and payout cycle are set by the broker and the rebate provider; confirm them before opening. See how rebates are calculated.
